I completed my degree in professional counseling in 2012. I became fully licensed in 2017. I have not worked in traditional counseling environments until very recently and I feel that my background will be a tremendous asset to my supervisees. I completed my internship in a hospital ER and was hired upon completion of my internship. I worked in that ER for almost 8 years. I have worked in multiple other hospital emergency departments. I have worked in my local county jail for the last 4 years. I started doing outpatient counseling in early 2021.

During my time in the emergency departments, I have completed hundreds if not thousands of assessments on psychiatric patients. I have experience with many different kinds of psychiatric issues. I feel very comfortable in crisis situations due to this experience. I have also done quite a bit of work with first responders and healthcare professionals. My preferred client population is ages 12-65.

I currently work at Outside of the Box Counseling as the program director. I help develop and coordinate groups, online content and alternative treatment modalities. While I have an extensive medical background due to working in hospitals for years; I also believe in an integrative and holistic treatment approach.

I would love the opportunity to be your supervisor if you are looking for someone with a wide variety of experience and are interested in an integrative approach to mental health treatment.

I can be reached at Stephanie@outsideoftheboxcounseling.com or you call me at (517) 774-9655. I look forward to discussing supervision with you!
